The daughter of a wealthy Kugane family, Ishiko has wanted for very little. Living such a privileged life, she grew exceptionally well-versed in getting what she wanted. Wealth brought her family a reputation, but she earned her own with a sharp, manipulative tongue and a fiery demeanor. Gold and excess are nice, she would say, but those things do not hold her interest for very long. Much to the chagrin of her older brother, the new head of their house, Ishiko is no longer content to live by the rules in her gilded palace.

Appearance

Ishiko is small in stature as most female Au Ra, but also has well-defined curves. Her skin is on the pale side, with golden undertones and covered in shimmering cream-colored scales. It is common for her to wear make-up, usually golden eye powder and lipstick with metallic flakes that catch the light. Her hair is long and straight, reaching to her waist and soft blonde in color. She tends to wear various flowers or expensive hair ornamentation. What people tend to find most striking about Ishiko is her eyes. A burning gaze of orange and bright golden limbal rings.

Personality

Ishiko often takes others by surprise upon first meeting. Most would assume a woman of her status and upbringing to be demure, submissive, and obedient. To her family's displeasure, Ishiko is very rarely any of these things. She is willing to play the part only for so long, and only when she believes it to be necessary. She is instead a woman who knows what she likes, and thinks of herself as deserving of it. Ishiko speaks her mind and walks with her head held high.

However, Ishiko is also extremely intelligent and has excellent business sense. She is good at reading people, has a talent for knowing when someone is lying, and can be surprisingly intimidating for someone as small as she is.

Hooks

Below is a list of hooks that might help us facilitate an IC reason for meeting. These are just suggestions, and most common ways to get involved with this character. Have another idea or way to hook in some roleplay? Feel free to let me know.

  • Rich and Famous: Anyone who does frequent business in Hinganshi have likely dealt with, or at least heard of, the Miyamoto family. They have their hands in many of the merchants' dealings, own several trade houses, and are no strangers to Kugane's high society.

  • Merchants and Tradefolk: While her brother handles most of the business side of things, Ishiko is perfectly capable in determining if a deal might be worth bringing to his attention. Looking to expand into the East? Need an investment loan? Ishiko is far more amiable than most of her family.

  • Finer Things: Traveling between Kugane and Ul'dah can be exhausting. Ishiko frequents establishments such as tea houses, bath houses, high-end bars and restauarants, and enjoys theater and song. Own such a place? Also frequent them?

  • A Target: Wealth often comes with a few enemies. The Miyamotos have plenty of rivals who would love to see their vast influence tarnished or ruined completely. Even criminals could see an opportunity to gain something they want in return. Ishiko may look like an easy target, but her extremely large, and violent bodyguard is never far. Such things would prove difficult, but probably profitable.

  • Okimi Ogawa : Okimi is Ishiko's favorite handmaiden. A soft-spoken young raen from Doma, Okimi caters to the young mistress, and her ever whim. While sometimes Ishiko can make trouble for her and other members of the staff, she seems to be content with her life and is payed very well.

Player Characters

  • Hiroaki Miyamoto: Head of the Miyamoto family, and the family business, Ishiko's older brother is a powerful man. However, there is very little he would deny his sister of, and she uses it to her advantage. Hiroaki is a traditional man, who takes his position very seriously. Ishiko thinks it is sometimes too seriously. But deep down, she adores her brother very much, and would like to see him happier.

  • Valoq Jhungid: A savage xaela warrior from the Steppe that Ishiko became instantly fascinated with. After the man bested her former bodyguard, Ishiko took it upon herself to hire him as the replacement. She deserved what she saw as the best, after all. Since then, the two have formed a rather unorthodox relationship that involves pushing boundaries, possessiveness, and seeking pleasure with one another.

Hey, I'm Hithren, and I've been doing this RP thing for about fifteen years, about four of them being in FFXIV. Below is some stuff you might want to know about me before engaging to make it easier on the both of us.

Disclaimer

As a general disclaimer: I suffer from major anxiety. If I do not answer or engage with you right away, please do not be offended. Sometimes I freeze up, or get discouraged.

I do not engage in ERP unless it is with close friends who I have gotten to know OOCly, and my characters have formed bonds with ICly. If you're looking for someone to satisfy such things, I'm likely not the roleplay partner for you. Don't get me wrong, I love ships and romance, but I do prefer organic development above all else.

I am not a multi-verse/AU roleplayer.

I prefer my roleplay to be lore-compliant ( within reason, we all bend a bit here and there), story/plot-driven, and mature-themed.

Accessibility

I am located in the PDT/PST timezone. At the moment I have a fluctuating schedule, so I prefer setting things up in advance rather than walk-ups. My main cast of characters are located on the Balmung server, and I do have some alts on Mateus and Goblin. I am more than happy to accommodate others via the World Visit system, however.

I predominantly roleplay in-game, and prefer this method over all others. I am open to Discord RP if that is the only way we can work something out, but I will warn in advance, I do tend to be slow to reply.
